Hello Clever’s Settlement Service provides flexible, efficient fund access for merchants in Australia, across APAC, and for cross-border operations. Each merchant receives a dedicated float account that tracks incoming and pending funds in real time, giving you full visibility into your financial position at all times.

Float account

Every Hello Clever merchant account includes a float account, a centralised ledger that records all incoming payments as soon as they are initiated.
  • Real-time tracking: Transactions from all payment methods (PayID, PayTo, BSB/Account, card) appear in your float account immediately, with pending card payments marked until cleared.
  • Transaction status updates: The system shows when funds are cleared and available for settlement, so you always know what’s withdrawable.
Float accounts give you a live view of your financial position, enabling better cash flow decisions without waiting for end-of-day reports.

  • FX and liquidity management: Real-time exchange rates and liquidity monitoring ensure optimal conversion and timely fund availability.
  • Compliance: All cross-border settlements comply with AML and CTF regulations across relevant jurisdictions.

Rolling reserve for instant refunds

Hello Clever maintains a rolling reserve to fund instant refunds without impacting your main float balance:
  • Reserve allocation: The reserve is sized based on your expected transaction volume and refund rate.
  • Automatic processing: Refunds are drawn from the rolling reserve automatically, reducing refund delays and improving customer satisfaction.
